etwinning project: "All the world our world"

The design and objectives of the project are based on modern learning theories - sociocultural - (problem solving, discovery of new knowledge in collaboration with suitable adults, active citizens, school open to society) and theories of anthropocentric, positive and existential psychology (identity, positive self- image, empathy, management of positive emotions, values, cooperation, acceptance of the different, self-realization, environmental empathy). Teachers and students during the program use creative ICT tools, which, not only facilitate learning and activate students' internal learning motivation and interest, but enhance the perception of learning as a learning activity fully integrated into the social, historical and cultural context in which it occurs.

The students first watch the short film "Pet shop" and then the teacher according to the thinking routines asks the following questions:

What did you see? What thoughts do you have? What are you wondering and would you like to explore more? Name what you see. What makes you say that? Justify your point of view.

The students see in the film a child with special needs, who has no friends and with his personal money buys a small dog that faces the same problem.

After the discussion that followed and the students expressed their views and feelings the teacher asks the students why the child has not joined a group of peers? What's wrong; What could he do? (brainstorming - problem solving)

We participated with our project "All the world our world" in the pan-Hellenic school competition "Bravo Schools" for the 17 sustainable goals and we excelled in the goal "Good Health and Prosperity". Our program highlights for the modern student to be a current and future active citizen he must be mentally healthy, have a positive self-image and have the opportunity to discover his special and unique skills, his talents, to think positively, and build his future on European values.
